I purchased the 10th Anniversary on a Kickstarter. The art for the anniversary edition is just wonderful, but I'm really not a word game person so it's a bit hard to rate. I like the addition of the special abilities that give you some chance to get points even if you are not very good at building long words, but they were not enough to give me any chance of winning

Just an excellent game. I appreciate that it works with 2 just as well as 8 people and that they also have solo and co-operative variants. Hopefully one day I can convince Tim to do the co-operative version! It breathes new life into what now are considered 'party' games when played in a group and introduces the element of deck building. It does require some level of correct spelling, though the winner from the group managed high scores on LUNCH, MUNCH, PUNCH and RANCH so the longest words won't necessarily win the game. The deckbuilding element is unique and fun, being able to draw more than the normal five cards, or double the score of the word, or trash a card that you picked up but never found a way to play. I'm looking forward to playing this game more in 2025.
